The Other Side Reviews

Known for her ethereal sound with a sophisticated, polished approach to pop music, singer-songwriter Lana Crow creates music that is intimate and personal, but speaks to an international audience. Drawing on her early musical training, life detours, and return to her music journey, Crow “writes with the honesty of a diary and the energy of a dance floor…” We came across her music with 2025’s ‘Orwellian Times’, and review-wise we left her with 2026’s ‘What Brings You Back’. Today, we step back into her world with one of her more recent singles, ‘In Spirit’.

Cinematic and ambient, the soundscape quivers with sonic haze as Crow’s vocals add a palpable duality of tension and relief. In other words, ‘What Brings You Back’ is a saunter through a wistful sonic fog with vulnerability tentatively teetering on the edge.
