Press Quotes
Two outlets described my latest album as ‘trying to be a lot. The truth is, it is not trying to be anything. It just is. What is ‘is’? It’s my humble view of what the journey towards the light looks like.
It starts with the realization of how totally messed up you were (“I Do”). Once you realize that you were messed up, you suddenly see how truly messed up the world is. You were not the only one indoctrinated; everybody is (“Orwellian Times”). How do you react? You put the pillow over your head and drown in the nostalgia of a past where you felt carefree and excited (“No Secret”).
Life does not let you off, though, and it knocks you off your feet as soon as you poke your head outside your door (“So Done”). What do you do then? You unlearn everything that you were ever taught. You just do not know what is underneath everything that happens in life. Nobody does. We are too limited to know that (“Unknow the ‘Known’”).
And once you get to that point, you see the bigger picture: the whole thing is greater than you are, greater than everything that you see, and it is way more sinister and way more magnificent than you ever imagined. With that, you also realize that you are never alone (“What Brings You Back”). And the grand finale of this crazy journey? You learn to live “In Spirit.”
P.S. Which step, you might ask, takes the longest? The first one. – Lana Crow

What follows is more intriguing. Rather than offering platitudes or demanding devotion, the song’s central voice—positioned as the divine—asks questions. “What brings you back?” becomes a refrain that invites introspection rather than prescribing answers. “An incisive look at the digital age… a critique of the culture of ‘outrage as social capital’ and the superficiality of the modern world.” — Soundloop
“A musical journey that moves from 80s synth-pop nostalgia to modern pop-rock… a liberating reconnection with the inner spirit.” — Soundloop
There’s a certain bravery in making an album that tries to explain life when most people can barely explain their group chat. The good news is she mostly pulls it off without disappearing up her own arse.
The album does not provide easy answers, nor does it attempt to tie up loose ends with a neat bow. Instead, it sits with the listener in the ambiguity of the present moment.
As the final cymbals splash and the delicate high notes fade on the closing track, one is left to consider their own path.
How do we learn to live fully when the ground beneath us is constantly shifting?
Lana’s vocals are the constant, crystal clear, perfectly balanced, and equally at home drifting through the ethereal cinematic softness of ‘I Do’ (an alt-pop gem that will be soundtracking first dances for years to come) as they are cutting through the heavier guitar textures of ‘Orwellian Times’…
When the song seems poised to fall apart from its urgency, it suddenly opens into a sweeping, melodic chorus that feels like a release valve. The song shifts from anger to something more thoughtful, making a strong case for connection in a world that often feels divided by noise and ideology.
Lana Crow delivers something that mixes boldness, melancholy and experimentation, all with a totally nostalgic touch that only she knows how to do. You definitely need to listen to this album more than once.
Lana Crow’s vocal melody refuses to sit still, curling and stretching in ways that feel instinctive rather than showy. There’s a subtle accented lilt in the phrasing, giving the lines an off-centre pull that works fully in its favour. When the chorus lands, instead of exploding it looms, the title carrying a quiet, haunted weight that lingers longer than the hook itself.
This incredible project sounds like someone trying to make sense of modern life without pretending to have all the answers: it’s thoughtful, chaotic, occasionally uncomfortable, but always honest, and in a music world full of over-filtered perfection, that honesty is exactly what we loved the most.
Lana Crow stands as a compelling example of independent artistry driven by intention. In Spirit doesn’t aim to provide answers—it creates space for reflection, connection, and personal interpretation, positioning Crow as an artist unafraid to explore the depth of the human experience.
Lana Crow turns relationship tension into sheer entertainment with “Ten Days to Lose a Guy,” a sharp, energetic pop-rock anthem. The single is full of personality, contrast, and emotional unpredictability, making for a track that is both playful and relatable from beginning to end.
“Ten Days to Lose a Guy,” is packed with a welcome blend of wit and honesty. A confident push into catchy pop-rock energy, balanced with witty storytelling and fun production choices that make it instantly memorable. With its infectious hooks and unapologetically fun attitude, the song seems made for listeners who value personality as much as polished songcraft.
The single pushes out infectious momentum but still leaves room for personality and wit, with the polish of Tristan Boston’s production. It’s a bold, fun release that transforms romantic contradiction into something undeniably catchy.
She writes clever lyrics without overdoing it, like her version of “two peas in a pod,“ which becomes “two peas in a pot.“ A small lyrical tweak says something surprising deep about relationships: compatibility isn’t always about similarity, but survival in shared circumstances.
Crow’s songwriting stands out immediately, cleverly twisting familiar sayings to reflect the often chaotic reality of relationships. The melodies are memorable, while the lyrics strike a balance between playful and painfully honest. It’s a confident release with plenty of replay value.
The way Crow maps out the emotional arc, from self-reckoning to freedom, is genuinely moving and worth sitting with more than once.

Orwellian Times is a confident and unflinching statement that highlights her artistic growth and reinforces her position as an artist unafraid to challenge norms while delivering memorable pop-rock anthems.
The song’s emotional sincerity shines through its message of support, purpose, and connection, making it easy for listeners to find their own stories within it.
It’s a captivating listen from start to finish. It’s got a nice balance of warmth and sadness to it, and it allows the story to breathe without being too much.
She continues to craft a unique sound based on cinematic pop, expressive vocals, and heartfelt songwriting.
Lana Crow delivers a work that blends boldness, melancholy and experimentation all with a totally nostalgic touch that only she knows how to create. You definitely need to listen to this album more than once as it was created outside of trends and algorithms with the intention that listeners experience is as a complete emotional cycle.
Crow’s vocals are the center of gravity, though ‘center’ feels like the wrong word for something so diffuse. She sings as though she’s already fading, each phrase trailing off into reverb that seems to stretch forever. It’s a performance that asks you to lean in closer, and the closer you get, the more the song seems to retreat — a beautiful, frustrating intimacy that mirrors the subject itself.
Incredibly cathartic and hazy, the British creative’s voice has been getting better and better release after release.
The hook is direct, the vocal delivery stays controlled, and the arrangement builds in a way that feels natural rather than engineered for a peak moment. That approach aligns with how Crow has been evolving across her recent releases.
What makes “Japrisot” strongest is the contrast at its center. The result is a synth pop track with a lot of personality and a strong sense of atmosphere.
With “Japrisot,” Lana Crow serves up an intoxicating pop music experience that’s memorable, original and thoroughly engrossing from start to finish. “
“With “Japrisot”, Lana Crow packs the psychological vertigo of a thriller by Sébastien Japrisot in a sunny, fast and dangerously euphoric synth-pop. “
“With “Japrisot,” Lana Crow offers a lively burst of synth-pop that combines thoughtful tones and an engaging literary idea, resulting in a song that’s both exciting and intriguingly agitated. “
“The hook is bright, but the story is unstable”
“Crow’s writing gives the track its edge.”
“That tension puts Crow in a good lane for pop writing that demands narrative detail without sacrificing replay value.”
“Lana Crow becomes the voice for people struggling with life’s challenges against all odds. “Laugh With You” is more than lyrics and a melody, it’s an unspoken push to endure, hold onto hope, maybe even find something humorous along the way. “
“People who like A-ha, Robyn, and Bat For Lashes will recognize the song’s dreamy synth lines, but Crow’s modern emotional core is what makes “I Do” stand out and last. Every swell and vocal layer is carefully placed, creating an immersive space where feelings are the most important thing. “
